These coaches all get too much attention.

The fighter is the biggest factor. can't polish a turd.

Algieri's improvements going over to Jackson are the best i've seen in a short time period.

I don't think it's a big deal unless it's a break up of a fab duo. Fighters need to find the right trainer who are dedicated to them.

Wait & see what happens before making any conclusions. In my own humble opinion I think Ruslan has made a big mistake but will wait to see what happens

I think this is more Roach saying bye bye, cannot do anything with that face first brawler.

Good for Ruslan. Roach did not even corner him for his last fight, too busy with Manny that he could not even take a couple days off. Probably still took his fee from Ruslan's paycheck.

I was gonna say how many fights was Roach not in his corner the night of

I'm wondering if Diaz pushes Ruslan toward a Bradley rematch and can take his knowledge of both guys to change the outcome?

I think Ruslan needs a trainer with a smaller stable who can focus his time more on him

good, maybe he can find someone who teaches him that blocking power punches with your face takes years away from one's life

Joel Diaz is not the trainer to do that. He is a horrible trainer in my opinion. No solid advice to Desert Storm during his brawl with Ruslan and I have yet to see him do wonders with any world class fighter.

I think Joe Goosen would have been a good fit for either fighter or on a lower level Buddy McGirt.

I think Floyd Mayweather Sr. would also have been a good fit for Desert Storm more so than for Ruslan.

Anyhow, I doubt if you will see any major improvement from either fighter with their respective trainers.

Good decision by Prov. He is a brawler and no one is gonna turn his boxing style into anything else. They were just wasting money on Roach, when any lower cost trainer would do. Almost all Diaz does though is cheerlead, I haven't heard too much good advice from him.
