Rios coming off a disappointing performance this weekend against Pacquiao, not putting up the spirited effort many predicted he would, a few people think he will be matched up with Siberian dangerman Ruslan Provodnikov next, who's coming off two incredible performances against Tim Bradley and Mike Alvarado.

This would surely be a war, Ruslan is like a stronger, more relentless version of Rios so for me wins handily and maybe even becomes the first man to stop Rios.

How do you guys see it going if it happens ?

Provo wins in a career ending beatdown

Ruslan would annihilate him if Rios came out and walked through punches as he did against Alvarado. The other night he seemed to be afraid of Pacquiao's power; I've never seen him guard so much. If he adopted that style again I still think Ruslan would stop the fight; I don't think he is as compassionate as Pacquiao!

Just look what happened to Alvarado

it's pretty clear who's the hardest puncher between the two of them

Provo wasn't in china for fun.

Rios is a likely next opponent. Arum will make it no doubt... Will Rios agree to it though?

Don't see who else Rios can face at 147 - ORTIZ LOL!

Rios has shitty boxing skills but if he can beat Provo (who himself sometimes can lack the technical prowess) then really you can only give Rios props. Really maximized the most out of his ability & style.

If Rios goes toe to toe with Provo he gets KO'd. If they fight I think that is what he will do, because that is his natural inclination. Big mistake.

Rios needs time to recover from the Pac beating. He doesn't need another one immediately. A Ruslan fight could be worse because Ruslan will come right at him try and KHTFO unrelentingly, while Pac was boxing and moving.

They would be scraping Brandon off the canvas after 8 or 9 rounds

Or maybe Rios will just quit like he did against Pac and do his best Joshua Clottey impression until the final bell

Unless provodnikov learns how to flurry, run, and hold sometime soon he loses. Nobody is coming straight through rios.

Provo would break him down badly and force Garcia to throw in the towel since I doubt Brandon would quit. But a complete behind the woodshed beat down would be painted on Brandon.

To me this fight all depends on Rios landing early and getting respect from Ruslan. Ruslan will get hit and Rios has to make those punches hard fight changing punches.
