Corley is hopping in place nervously. He's daring to think he might get it.

Well, that might work... a lot of people here say Margo was getting to Cotto hitting his left hand with his eye all the time :yep

First scorecard for Provodnikov, he shakes his still-taped but ungloved right hand and bites his lower lip while grinning.

    Second card read..

    Third card...

    He's won.

Provodnikov is handed the shiny gold-on-green WBC Asian 140lb title (which Corley was eligible for how exactly??? I mean, Provodnikov is Russian which spills into Asia...fine...but Corley?) - as well as a big ass golden trophy. Seriously, the trophy is bigger than Ivan Calderon.

Provodnikov calls for a mic check and busts some ill rhymes for the Ekaterinburg peeps.

(I'm just making that up, although he is addressing them with a wireless microphone over the PA).

    Gay.

Corley won four rounds fairly convincingly in my view, and we don't know how he did in the 7th, 8th, and 9th.

I have no problem at all with Provodnikov winning (unless he got swept in the 7th-9th, which seems unlikely) but only giving Corley two or three rounds is bull****.

    It was closer than that.

That's racism... just because he's not Asian doesn't mean he doesn't have the same rights as Asian people. :bart

Corley still has enough left to be competitive with all but the super-elite who will smoke him (as seen against Matthysse, and as can be imagined against Khan or Bradley). Against the second tier he does enough to cause some grief but never run away with it and get the verdict - especially in his opponents' backyards.

So, NOBODY saw and can share what went down in the 7th and 8th rounds?

I got a good enough impression of the 9th from the more than half minute of highlights they showed, but knowing what direction things took after that midway point would really help put those official scores in context.

Sorry man... I have no idea!

Wait, what am I sorry for... it's your fault altogether!
If you didn't start the RbR, I would have never known about this fight happening now and there wouldn't have been a mess at my office!

OR... I can blame my boss for expecting me to come to work, while there's boxing on!!!

All in all, it's everybodies fault but mine... like always! :bart
