    Oh look, everyone is jumping back on the Matthysse hypetrain again. :roll:

    We already saw that Matthysse is a one dimensional fighter, whom Garcia dispatched of relatively easily.

    Ruslan's chin rivals Danny's.

    Matthysse's chin is cracked beyond repair by Danny Swift Garcia.

    Ruslan might knock him into next Sunday. :rofl

    Great fight going for Ruslan by KO. Ruslan never been stunned, or knocked down Mathysse stunned and knocked down on many occasions by far lesser punchers

    I think I favor Ruslan in this Mathyse have better skill with a lot of pop but Ruslan is a master slugger with a lot of pop but He is stronger and look like the better chinned of the two, great freaking fight.

    Profound fight, two great world class chins with good power. I'd lean towards Lucas pulling this one out after a war a battle that may very well see Rulsans iron beard get cracked via TKO. Provo is relentless and beleives in himself to the point of fault, I can certainly see him sacrafice a good amount of his already average defensive skills in order to stay in range with Lucas and that will be his downfall. Unless of course Rulsan can successfully smother Lucas's counter attacks...then and only then would he have a decent shot at overwhelming the argentine.

    Ruslan may NOT have an iron chin Algieri, Bradley, Herrera, old shot Castillo aren't what I'd call KO artists. Alvarado has some pop but he's not an extraordinary puncher, so really don't know how good Provo's chin really is.

    Matthysse has a decent chin although it was dented by Molina but John hits pretty hard, Matthysse is a better all around boxer and has a tad more defense and hits way harder so Matthysse by TKO or cuts stoppage.

    Also this could potentially be a very dangerous match for their health, I hope neither of them get hurt too badly, and the ref should be very vigilant, more so thean usual if it happens.

    Moreso for Rulsan since he's proven he doesnt mind taking a hellacious amount of punishment to impose his will. Lucas has shown us he can take his foot of the gas and re-calibrate

    I"m not a big Matthysse fan at all, I believe he is the legit # 2 in the division however.

    Why are people bringing up D.Garcia?

    Matthysse has been way more relevant in every one of his last fights since losing to Danny

    The undisputed #2 at LW
    FOTY 2014

    Now might be fighting Provodnikov

    Menawhile Garcia is holding onto his belts and fighting PEDerson (Matthysse's canvas trash) having lost to Herrera and had one of the worst cherry picks in recent memory/history.

    Not taking away anything from him but Danny needs to get his sht together & might as well have moved up to WW if he wasn't going to rematch Lucas or Herrera...
