He looked like a guy to watch. Got hit too much, but a great come forward, solid, aggressive European style, sort of reminds me of Muhammed Abdullaev. I think Brian Kenny said he had 150 amateur wins. Anyone know anything about him?
I think he will adjust, get much better, great chin, great body punching, hits hard................we will see.
Not really in the vein of Abdulleav, he's kinda raw, but that body attack was fantastic, and if he can develop a jab he could be dangerous.. but even 7 fights in, I can't see him being an easy fight for anyone.
He reminded me of a raw, less refined Kostya. He even looked like Kostya, much like Brian Kenny noticed.
Ruslan can fight. It will be intresting to follow his career path, as he is such an exciting fighter.
RP just won the WBO Intercon. belt over Victor Hugo Castro. I'd like to see him fight in the states again, very crowd-pleasing style. Potential world champion down the road.
RP is on ESPN this Friday and it looks he's now fighting Javier Jueragi. This could be an entertaining matchup. RP is a vicious body puncher with a crowd pleasing style. Nice to see him back on American tv.
Ruslan is a guy that isn't afraid of a challenge... Usually in against solid opposition.... Looking forward to seeing him on Friday...
He was supposed to fight Prescott a few months back, right? What happened there? Provodnikov probably would've ground him down. Better defense and actually seems to hit harder.
Good stoppage win over Jauregi. Ruslan is on his way up the ladder. Relentless style and very strong body puncher.
The only thing I don't like about him, as far as his chances in the division, is he likes to be squared up too much without setting things up with his jab. And it's a good jab when he uses it. Excellent body puncher. Offensively he uses everything at least a little bit. Uppercuts, overhand rights, counter left hooks. He's got real promise.
