I agree, but he was less squared up last night. The one improvement I do like is that he's gotten good about staying lower, moving his head from side to side, and dipping away from shots, yet still being on balance to launch an attack from that low position. This is something he wasn't doing much as recently as the Gordon fight in which he was just walking straight in while standing up too straight. The new breed of European fighters are much better at bending at the waist. Still, the addition of a jab would make him all that more effective. No reason that couldn't be added to the arsenal.

Nice feature on this kid on the site with news about fights. Big fight coming up against Figeurora. Watch out for Provodnikov!
Is now fighting Augustus. Figueroa would have been the better matchup, I fear a bad beating coming for Emanuel, something he doesn't deserve.
You're telling me. The picture of him in my avatar, I saw a few months ago, and I was shocked out how old he looked compared to the last time I'd seen him. He seems like a great guy too. Now they're "feeding" him to this young brute. I wonder if Emanuel has one last hurrah left in him.
Yup. Emanuel has made a career fighting "young brutes," but the obvious difference now is that he's on old legs. The loss to Omotoso, I'm told, was a pretty one-sided affair. That doesn't bode well for a battle with an aggressive force like Provodnikov. Hopefully his reflexes aren't completely gone and he can pull a good defensive performance out of the past.
