    How is Arthur Mercante jrs work in the Cotto/Foreman fight not there?

    Mercante jr is a ****ing pox on boxing. That guy has been involved in several disaters or near disasters.

    Granted this is more than 10 years ago, but thats part of the problem. This incompetent fool should have been removed from boxing YEARS ago. His list of **** ups in big fights is incredible.

    mercante jr wasnt so bad in teh cotto-foreman fight? his lines to foreman were corny but he cleared the ring, was able to restore order and gave foreman time he needed. he was also able to get to the nitty gritty on the phantom towel incident. not an exceptional job but defintely not bad.

    I have no idea why they excluded the worst present referee in the world today in Dave Parriss.No idea.Don't believe me?Just Youtube his "work" in Hatton-Tszyu,Rogan-Sexton 1 and Barrera-Khan.Beyond ****ing disgraceful!!!

    I may be mistaken but I am not sure Mercante had the right to call time when Foreman twisted his knee there. There was no illegal foul. If Foreman couldn't go on- too bad. Fights over.

    yeah he could have called it but he saw it was an accident and tried to give him a chance. He gave him every chance to retain his belt. cant ask for anything else.

    if froch wins ill give him credit but i just dont see it happening. ward will piece him apart regardless of the ref.
