I'm amazed that there have actually been worse ref jobs than the Bute long count. For my money, that is the most blatant ref robbery I have ever seen. The ref literally waited out the clock and decided the championship.

It wasn't only that - you can actually see him helping him out during other parts of the round.

0:30. After breaking them he tries to buy Bute a couple seconds by pointing at the Andrade's feet or something before they're allowed to continue.

0:50. He appears to intentionally step in Andrade's way, he almost had to push Wright out of the way.

Wiat a minute what about the referee in the Eusebio Pedroza vs Juan LaPorte fight. Or is that too old?

He allowed not only about 50 ballshots, but elbows from Pedroza as well.

Some of what these corrupt refs do is not so blatant as what Mora did.
Cortez is vey adept at allowing his guy to fight dirty or whatever and not allowing the other guy to fight his style.

The way Hatton was fighting in the first half of his fight v FMJ, if the shoe was on the other foot, and fight was in UK, with a judge reversing the favoritism, it would at least have gone the distance and been close.

My fave from that fight was when FLoyd had to stick his head through the ropes to get a breather, and Cortez took the point from Hatton for hitting the rope. Hell isn't a fighter supposed to throw until a ref says not to. And what FLoyd did would have been called agasinst him if in the UK.

So that one was more subtle than 25 low blows, but greatley altered the fight and made Hatton fight desperaely which cost him.

I still think people are wrong about Cintron/Martinez. MArtinez deserved the win clearly enough, but I think the ref did nothing wrong with the KD that everyone claims was so ridiculous. The ref never waved the fight off like people claim, he was actually leading Cintron back to the middle of the ring while Martinez was jumping around the ring celebrating nothing. Video evidence shows that Cintron was standing before 10 and the ref actually explained that he hadn't heard the bell and can be heard to say " I didn't stop the fight."
