Russell Mora regrets not penalizing Abner Mares and is not suspended!

    A little too late for that, You have lost all respect from boxing fans for letting Mares basicly cheat. Mares is a great fighter and fought the better fight ( If he didn't low blow ) he should have won by 8-4 Rounds UD or 7-5 Rounds UD but Mares should have been penalized like anyone else. If you can't be a good referee then you should be banned from being one, not let off the hook like he was.

    the refs big punishement... he got embarrassed....they aerent gonna do anything to a guy they commissioned...would make the ibf "look bad" so they just scolded him like a bad boy

    I agree. I cannot believe he wasn't even suspended. He shouldn't be aloud to ever be a referee.

    :lol: It's wrong, a referee is to make sure boxing is fair and entertaining. When a man works hard and risks his life in the ring and health, he should get results for his preformance, never "robbed. "

    Mares gets a decision that otherwise would have been a draw or loss, Mora doesn't get suspended and gets his cash under the table, and for a small payment GBP has another paperchamp. Agbeko gets ****ed out of a huge win (while getting paid about a third of what Mancrusher Mares got), or at least a draw, and Showtime's tournament ends as a joke. Being a boxing fan generally sucks.

    Perhaps golden boy is trying to add a bit of drama and controversies into their boxing. At the expense of a poor African fighter.People like drama they gobble that sh8t up.Poor Agbeko and Darchinyan. Mares is a golden boy darling so. He get's some favors thanks to Golden Boy a bunch of corrupt mofo.

    I just read that Don King tried to get him removed before this fight as he is Oscar's in house ref.
    Commission refused.
