So, you're saying that you listened to the showtime commentary and you found it to be objective? is that how you feel all the time?... it's not hysterical to point out that there was an obvious size difference that worked to loma's advanrtage and that it was still a competitive fight as per the judges...it's also true that given some more experience and better coaching, GRJ will get better. but i know, that's not what people like you want to hear.

y'all are acting like loma didn't get hit cleanly the whole fight...is this what showtime commentary does to people? loma got hit with a LOT of clean shots despite what malignaggi and team kept saying. here's my view...the announcers LIE ALL THE TIME! watch the fight again...there are other reports that i read that say GRJ outlanded loma, especially in the last 4 rounds.

here's a much more objective viiew from another source that discusses the slize difference and the difference in punch output.

they ought to start showing fights with no commentary... that way, everybody is gonna have to make up their own fkin minds what happened in the ring and they won't all be repeating the same misleading crap like parrots.

I used my eyes and what I seen was Lomachenko landing cleaner and harder punches, I never said Russell didn't land but he missed a lot.

Showtime where biased towards Lomachenko despite him being a HBO fighter.

Also in terms of size they both weigh the same on the scales.

Jeeze, do you understand there's no height or reach divisions in boxing? It goes by weight, and the guys weighed the same in the ring.

You'll see when the press scores are tallied, hardly anybody had it even close

You believe those biased loud mouths?:rofl
They gave Lomachenko every single round that he won!
Paulie's bias for the house fighter Lomachenko really came through in his commentary.
(I'm not sure I ever heard anyone accuse Malignaggi of being biased until this thread)

I think once you chill a bit, and rewatch the fight you will come off with a different reading. GRJ was the House fighter here, if the commentary was favorable towards VL it was because it pretty much had to be to not sound like the ridiculous HBO crew from the Provodnikov-Algieri fight.

    1. loma was clearly the bigger guy. he looked bigger in the ring..i have different news sources saying he was indeed the bigger mana
    2. the bullsh8t that showtime kept feeding you about how loma was landing far more and that GRJ was landing in single digits in every round, is debunked by a number of other ringside reports.

Hey dumba$$, weight is not determined by eyesight but rather by the scale.

Number of other ringside reports lol. I bet the average will end up 9-3 or so, wait for fightscorecollector

MLB.tv has a feature where you can watch games with no commentary, just the sounds on the field. I have to admit it is pretty nice sometimes.
I'd be all over it if I could watch a fight the same way.

Lomachenko weighed 8oz more than GRJ in the ring, so your argument is invalid regardless of how it "looked." Height is not an excuse either if weight is the same.

Fact is GRJ was outclassed by a better boxer. Get over it.

OP, you do know the difference between hand speed and timing, don't you? I just had he impression YDKSA timing from the thread and posts you just made here.
GRJ had the speed and that resulted in a LOT of shots but they kept landing on Loma's gloves. And Loma just owned GRJ with timed shots, less volume of output - higher connect %.
You should try to watch the fight in a slowmo. I have the impression, you scored GRJ shots on gloves.

    Loma 138½ - Russell 138

This is what you call coming into a fight a weight class or two heavier (or in this instance, cheating)

    On the scales

    Loma 125¼ Salido 128¼

    On the night

    Loma 136 - Salido 147

Loma's weight for his first pro fight
