Yesterday there was a documentary on German television called : 'Geheimsache Doping, wie Rusland seine Sieger macht'. In this documentary a Russian athlete is followed and it is shown how her trainer gives here PED's. She tells that she almost certainly knows that more hen 90% of al Russian atlhethes is using forbidden stuff. Also someone from the RUSADA (The Russian doping authority) tells how this authority does work (or not work). The government tells them what to do. If someone is really talented, RUSADA looks the other way and if someone well known is tested positive, they say the test was 'wrong' and no futher investigation is done. They suspend some athlethes now and then, but almost always someone who is not talented enough to make it to the top. For the record, I'm not judging anyone, but the documentary is quite shocking and puts Russian sports in another prospective.
This is only news to those who have been living in a cave for 40-odd years or for those who somehow choose to be in denial about certain things which benefit their argument.
It's not a Russian problem, it's global in my opinion, I just can't see people at the top level not taking advantage.
Oh right all russians are on PED's , but wll germans , limeys and americans are clean , right? All top athletes from all over the world are on something
After Chagaev - Oquendo I became convinced that RUSADA is a joke. For those who do not know - they refused to pay Oquendo for the fight because he was tested positive. That whole fight was a disgrace because it ended 10 seconds earlier and the president of Chechen republic stepped into the ring during each break. Oquendo looked poor, inactive and unprepared, though the fight itself was closed and the most boring "title" fight ever. And then they claim that he's on something and refuse to pay. That's no wonder why Klitschko team fought against that company before the Klit-Povetkin fight.
Any athlete competing internationally these days will be tested by numerous different organizations, which is the main guarantee that they will be found out sooner or later. Moreover, the most up-to-date doping techniques are in the US and western Europe, where the largest pharmaceuticals are. If you look at what those Russian athletes were using, it isn't new stuff, it's old stuff that they should have known better than to still be using.
So you are saying that a Russian news channel denied steroid use by Russian athletes? Shocking! :rofl:nut Hopefully you were being sarcastic... By the way, you do know that there is virtually no freedom of the press in Russia, right?
come on, its russia. of course the use PED´S. you only get a pro license if you have done crocodile for at least six month.
So everyone who can type in proper English is an American? atsch I generally don't waste my time on educating clueless people, but I'll make an exception in your case. Freedom of the press by country: 1. Finland 14. Germany 46. United States 148. Russian Federation Source: http://rsf.org/index2014/en-index2014.php You were saying?
