Atleast they try to cover up

    We USA don't give a F

We can catch our people doing it infront of us in the living room and we'll tell them it's okay, you're not doing anything wrong.

Again, I'm not doubting the painstaking efforts that authorities went to in covering up the doping of many athletes. My point is that it serves no purpose to go to such painstaking efforts for literally everyone on a scope of millions of athletes. That just isn't practicable, nor would there be an incentive to do so for middling or low-level types.

Implicating the entirety of the Russian national team in amateur boxing, for instance, would be a large enough accusation - but one I could accept. Saying every single individual among the millions of people from Russia who play any sport amateur or pro - that's just too large and pointless an undertaking.

The stuff being unearthed probably does taint a disturbingly large number of athletes, but if you zoom out they probably all told constitute more like 2% of Russian athletics (still a whopping number, given the country's population and how into sports they are, culturally) than 99%.

This was why I was always referring to the Mayweather IV scandal as "Soviet style". The officials know an athlete is roiding himself to teeth, but they take their bribes and ignore it. This is obviously on a bigger scale but it's the same on principle.

Under normal circumstances you are right. In most instances a case of an athlete doping is down to a single group of individuals cheating the system. But we are talking about a state sponsored doping scandal here and so unfortunately this puts all Russian athletes under suspicion. Is that fair, no maybe not, but the evidence at the moment is pointing at wide scale doping.

As for the Jamaicans we don't know yet how big the problem is, to assume that they like Russia have a state sanctioned system of cheating. A few keep bringing up Jamaica but at the moment nothing has been proven as of yet beyond negligence. If it is proven that Jamaica have also set up a similar system to Russia then we can compare them but at the moment comparing them just seems like an attempt to deflect from the case with Russia. The idea that Russia is somehow a victim because Jamaica or any other nation is also possibly cheating is quite frankly distasteful.

Russia will go to the Olympics.
They'll comply with the investigation, make some reforms, and ban the more blatant cheats.

Theres too much money to be lost by banning a huge nation like Russia.

 Jamaicans genetically do not require Doping.
They have Yams and Okra and like Koreans possess the genetic ability to actually metabolize all of the correct nutrients. :yep

At the vast level of doping being uncovered in Russia it is obvious that the whole system is involved in steroid usage from the government, to the testing agencies to the coaches to the athlete.
In Russia, every athlete is Drago.

Of international competitors in track/field athletics, it is probably 100% of the Russian team.
In any country good at sport with decent sports culture and resources you must expect it to be at least 90% of international competitors. In events that have any qualifying standards anyway.

Obviously, several of the athletes in lower leagues with lesser performances might well be clean.

Which explains why Russian men are the finest track stars in the world right? This is more directed at the RUSSIAN FEMALE track squad than anything else.

:patsch:rofl Yes because corruption and officials allowing the doping of their track stars signifies this applies to all sports? Also I would literally like an explanation why Russian Men make horrible track athletes while their women are wonders? Russia men are NOT the best performers in athletics world wide, maybe you need to look on which country truly represents dominance in athletics in both men and women, this country would be the one you should be suspect on. And Russia is NOT the only corrupt sporting country in the world.

This is where the root of the problem is. If you have doping control officers being paid off then it makes the whole operation a joke.
Drug cheats are here to stay imo as the corruption runs deep from top to bottom. The Olympic committee and its president are likely deep in this **** taking bribes as well, they're no better than what boxing has been for years, corrupt to its very foundation.
