So the decision has been made to provisionally ban Russia from international competitions. They voted 22-1 in favour of the ban.

Russia doesn't really test their athletes. They've built their athletic existence on PED use ever since they've started competing against the US.

Figures, Russia is the Wests geopolitical foe, not banning them from IAAF competitions would be political suicide. Now Russian track stars need to get their act together and learn more secretive Western doping techniques.

And it seems you lack the intellectual capacity to understand how pathetic that type of assumption is :patsch The United States and Russia have been doped up to the very gills ever since they were competing against each other, the United States although never encouraged doping, did not do ANYTHING of note until the 90's to actually punish people who use steroids and or redistribute them inside the country. Russia does test for PED's, but their corruption especially in certain branches of sports allows loop holes for athletes, hence why Russian Athletes rely on corruption to get away with drug tests, while American athletes cover up their doping using more sophisticated techniques, hence how dominant the United States is consistently in the medal tables at the Olympics.

You keep regurgitating the same refuted statements over and over again, and you keep ignoring my previous posts addressed to you. Had you been educated and read my previous posts to you, you would not reply to me with such an idiotic statement  Use a little logic when discussing things with me. Drug testing really ever became relevant after the Cold war ended, with much more advanced testing, but at the same time athletes evolved to find loop holes and find new ways to CHEAT the system, that is why many world class athletes can go for so long before ever being caught, if ever.

Do you want me to pound some more logic in to your head, or will you stop posting such drivel :yep Russia is going through its Lance Armstrong moment right now, their track stars have been caught cheating, which is a hilarious statement considering how rampant and widespread doping is in track and field world wide. Russia has been found out thanks to a whistle blower, but they are NOT the only place on Earth with doped up athletes, any athletic powerhouse has dopers, especially in such a competitive field. Notice how the Russian men are the least successful track athletes around, while their women are amazing, there is something obviously wrong here, and it has nothing to do with male alcoholism in Russia

There are very few members of the IAAF council that come from western countries. There's one Brit, one American, a Canadian and 5 Europeans, so the other 15 council members are either African, Caribbean, Asian or Arabian. Suffice to say the only member that voted against a ban was likely Mikhail Butov, the Russian. So to suggest this has any political influence is a stretch when the majority do not represent western nations.

If you mean being less secretive as in not having a huge state run doping system that involves everyone from athletes, lab techs, trainers, the athletic body and the government then yes I agree.

Well the IAAF has allot of western influence, and Russia right now has been parading as the boogey man by the more powerful Western media, Russia is spreading its influence everywhere, them annexing the Crimea probably created allot of resentment from the Western Imperialists who despise anything Eastern. Those non Western nations that supported the ban probably wanted to get the attention away from their own doping problems :rofl which is why they voted against Russia. Secretive as in not relying on SO many people, the more people involved in something, the more it becomes obvious. :deal

You can have your own opinion but you can't have your own facts.

Major (and minor) League Baseball routinely tests, catches and suspends ballplayers.

Well good luck. You have to SIGN a paper that rids the Peruvian government and the tourist guides of ANY guilt just in case something happens to you, as if you roll off a cliff, slide down and break your back, or fall off the mountainous terrain to your death. Also it gets cold up here, and NO I am not going to be there greeting you.
