Yeah, that's what the bookies have listed as the cutoff time.

IWasa will be back in the ring in July Vs TBA, fight to be on G+ like his last one (a stoppage Vs Tubieron), if he wins...we could see him Vs Wake in 2017 (the two are VERY good friends and have shared the ring in the past)

Crazy that when I wrote the OP, the "dark horse FOTY candidate in 2011" was already four years in the rearview mirror...and yet another four years has passed since.

Hell of a journey the last four have been, too. He got his crack at the world title (at least an interim version) against Hoskins and was disappointed...but rebuilt himself for 27 months and FIINALLY realized his dream in autumn of 2017 by stopping Yukinori Oguni. He squeezed in one successful defense of the IBF super bantamweight title before TJ Doheny wrested it from him last August. Now, bringing himself within a stone's throw of his third career world title opportunity, Iwasa last night survived a rough & tumble melee with César Juárez, defeating the Mexican via majority technical decision in an IBF eliminator... one the geniuses @ PBC didn't see fit to put on TV, but which a saint named Martha Najera recorded from ringside & generously uploaded omnibus. :deal:
