Rosales is strafing left and laying a long croupier-stick left hook across the coif of Higa. Rosales is jabbing in and folding up like a lawn chair, knees bent, hips swung forward, spine erect, arms gathered into a tight guard. Higa unable to score past Rosales' tight defense and is bunny-hopping outside to reset. Jabs from Rosales in pursuit, and short hooks across Higa's temple once inside. Higa is jabbing as hard as he can on the backfoot, attempting to plant anchor with some upward slashing backhanded lefts off the hip and heavy right hands. Rosales standing off, blocking, then resuming his pressure behind the jab.

Yeah same. I never would have thought I'd be saying this just thirteen months ago but might be a better fighter than his cousin right now.

Round 5

Rosales is muscling his way through Higa's stubbier jab with his long one connecting from a greater distance outside and delivered with the added steam-train emphasis of him jousting in with it at full canter. Big exchanges being forced now by the challenger. Higa bravely wailing away, using every shot in his arsenal to head and body. Rosales just too physically strong for him, forcing his way inside with the 1-2 and using his long arms folded up to gum up the works inside and trapping Higa's fists in a wreath of limbs.

Round 6

Rosales is cuffing Higa across the base of the skull and posterior fontanelle. Higa is desperately whipping hooks into the body to fend him off but Rosales keeps laying the leather down on him, mixing downward slashes and uppercuts with both hands, impressive display of close-quarter infighting considering the on-paper ungainly height advantage. Higa's neck is violently jerked on a few occasions, mostly at mid-range when Rosales catches him on the move with an undefended hook. Arm-weary, Higa never shying from the fight but feeling the pace a bit.
