Some timing. I randomly woke up just as the main event is starting. So guess I'm here for the fight I cared about most.

If you watch the video it really seems like Uchiyama was carrying him and not taking it that seriously, while Taguchi went in hard on him. Then, during a moment when it looked as if Uchiyama was trapped on the ropes taking abuse, one little right in the gut, landed subtly enough that from the angle on the video you can't even tell he did throw a punch, leaves Taguchi gasping and clutching the ropes. Insane.

    Good round.
Ryota took round 1 for me but i'm impressed how well they are taking each other's punches.

I'm in bed, bleary eyed, barely awake. The fact that I remembered two of the scorecards is impressive enough. I scored it for Waseem, so to me it wasn't close and a robbery.

    Round 1

Murata is pressing forward, landing jabs and setting up right crosses into the hairline of Butler. Lots of flurrying on the backfoot by Butler, unable to post up for more than a half second without getting clipped by right hands that even when partially intercepted on his glove put a look of alarm on his face. Body shots from afar by Butler while up on his toes. Murata throwing his own body shots, building everything off the high left jab. Butler turns Murata with a right at one point, hard shot but doesn't land it flush. Murata keeps pressuring steadily, unhurriedly, and lands a body shot at the bell.

    10-9 Murata

Nice start from Butler but he's fighting Muratas fight. I doubt he will be able to keep this up

Yep, like I said earlier he actually is a lot more powerful than Murata, but also waaaaaaaaaay more fragile.

Butler a big boy. Murata is a big middleweight and Butler looks even bigger.

    Round 2

Murata is piecing together his earmuffs as Butler comes out aggressive with a triple right hand up top. Butler rattling off as much work as he dares at mid-range, shooting his shot before yielding ground as Murata warms up. Murata finding Butler on his escape path with the jab and once he gets a bead on his location sending in hard right crosses, hurtful even when blocked as they cueball his own fist into his face. Butler resorting to flurries while moving backwards again, not where he's most effective. Murata on the other hand is viciously economical coming forward.

    10-9 Murata

    20-18 Murata

    Bad idea to turn southpaw.
