The WBC cares about money. Wilder is more marketable to the American public than Povetkin he's a big guy who knocks people out.

Povetkin's team has been waiting for a nearly a year for Wilder to vacate. Like some on this board, they thought the PBC was going to create the PBC BELT and that all of the fighters working with Al Haymon would dump their titles.

That has clearly not happened. So while Povetkin has delayed and turned down dates with Wilder ... now the date is approaching when he has to sign ... and they are telling the press they still "think" Wilder will vacate.

    Wilder isn't vacating.

Quit stalling Povetkin. Quit pushing the fight back further and further. You should've fought Wilder in January. Now you want to fight him in the summer. In the summer, you'll want to push it back to the fall.

Sh*t or get off the pot, Povetkin.

Other people are waiting in line. People want to see Wilder fight Fury, and Joshua and Parker. Povetkin is becoming less and less relevant as the months pass by.

Sign to fight Wilder, Povetkin, and take your medicine.

    :good

wilder will probably get 2x more than he has got for his 4 world title fights combined if team povetkin win the purse bids or even if haymon wins

i do not know why but at the moment wilder is not marketable in america despite being a ko artist.

i think team povetkin will win the purse bids and a week later we will know if deontay will fight him or not

i suspect if the fight is scheduled for russia wilder will vacate unless the purse bid is £10 million plus then he would be silly to give up all that money.

the purse bids will also tell us how much haymon beleives in wilder a bid of around £ 5 million and he knows he is not going to get wilder home advatage .

I actually hadn't expect anything else. Wilder is a fraud. If they ever met in the ring, Povetkin would destroy him.

Someone's opinion and prediction. Absolutely nothing from Wilder's camp to support this. And of course this board jumps all over it.

Maybe the article should have read, this is what Ryabinsky HOPES he will do, not what he feels he will do.

Just for the record though, if Wilder did dump the WBC belt just to fight for that mickey mouse belt they inexplicably stripped Fury of, I would pretty much be done with him. That would be a blatant and inexcusable duck.

    He won't though.

I have always thought Team Wilder would duck Povetkin by any means necessary. Just my opinion, we will see soon.
