Yeah right on. I was about to post the same thing. The best Rampage we ever saw was when he beat Dan Henderson to unify the titles. He definitely peaked that night in terms of technique, conditioning, and determination against an ATG opponent.

Yeah difference is there in terms of his stand up. The Hendo fight is the perfect example. There's still some wild haymakers being thrown, but Page sets his feet outside of Dan's lead leg, throws straighter punches when Dans at range, steps in and follows up with upper cuts and hooks, ducks and counters, and draws his hands back into a defensive position after throwing

Compare that to the with over hands of the PRIDE era Page, and I think that's what you'd consider prime Rampage imo

Listen to Pages post fight. He blew out his knee and shouldnt have fought. He could not run which is why he missed weight. He said he was great in training before that and has a few years left in him. He managed a nice slam which he hasn't done in years so I think that says something. He didn't want to dissapoint the japanese fans.

How many times do you have to hear him make excuses for his crap performances before you realize that they are just that. EXCUSES.:patsch

The guy has every right to be shot, he's heading out of his athletic Prime and he has been in more than one brutal war. He is done. End of discussion.

Rampage ain't what he used to be perhaps, but you guys are ******s for **** talking Bader. Judging by the way he got schooled by Jones he'll probably never win or even fight for a title, but you seem to be falling into the ***** bull**** of the "chin checker" bitches by dragging him down for getting caught by Ortiz.

"Getting caught". That is a bull**** cliche on the level of "that punch woulda KOed anybody". It was an ugly, sloppy punch that had about an inch worth of distance on it when it connected and it put him on ***** Street. Tito can't punch and that wasn't even a good punch, so there is little wonder why people don't have much hope for the guy. He is a joke, he can't take a punch, and he's not even that good of a wrestler, which happens to be his strength.

He had an injury. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for tue weight.

But this, and the Hamill fight are clear indications that he's done.

I'm with you. Rampage was motivated, had youth on his side, was hungry, and used for more of his skills under a better ruleset. In the UFC he's too easy to suss out. Avoid his power. And out grapple him. I just wish he'd retire.

Once a guy starts coming in overweight, losing to lesser fighters whilst failing to really pull the trigger...Yep he should retire.Or atleast take some time out and really evaluate his fighting career..

I dont even think a fighter with Rampages profile will be allowed too many more performances like yesterdays without getting cut.

He's still worth a lot to the brand. Doubt he'd have been co-main if he wasnt.

I seriously doubt Jackson is worth $250000 A fight after that match though. But Tito is still there so who knows

Maybe, I,m just an optimist but i can't understand labeling Ryan Bader as a "****" fighter when he just won his last fight against a legend. He recovered nicely from a slam that should have broken his right arm or maybe even his neck and responded by completely taking over and dominating the rest of the fight. A brave, gritty performance by a young fighter which can only make him better.
