Sucks, I thought he would've beat Donaire honestly(not a prime Donaire, Donaire would've destroyed him), injuries suck.
Can’t help but feel bad for the guy. At least he chose a good time to retire before any further injuries could occur. Hope he’s earned enough from the sport to get himself settled for good.
That sucks. Poor guy. Although it's probably for the best. I can't see him being competitive against the top dogs of the divisions around him anyway.
What a bummer, man. He's only 27 and should be in the prime of his career. Injuries are the worst. Best of luck to the young man in his future endeavors.
Damn, Donaire made his balls implode permanently I guess. Not sure how you retire being known as a ducker? He ducked both Rodriguez, and Tete, prior to the WBSS, then hurt his balls vs and old faded Donaire, and quit. Guess the pressure to start facing viable opposition was too much for him.
He will probably be back, unless he no longer has the mental drive. Dude is still young. I hope he made some smart choices with the money he got, because I know it wasn´t a lot. Only had a handful of high profile fights.
He had to beat at least one or 2 viable opponents to have unified 2 of the 4 world titles at Bantamweight before the WBSS.
Hope this drug suspect will not return. Still remember that he didn’t do mandatory doping test after fighting with ZZ...
Bummer for him. Wonder if he would have been able to be competitive with the big names if he diidm't get injured.
