None of the descriptions of the fight are very surprising. García fighting scared after his Tank experience next time in with even a raw puncher..
and sloppy ass Duarte being unable to land and ultimately blundering into a fast counter and getting stopped. Went almost exactly to script; both major pro wrestling brands put on harder to pick matches in the last week. :sisi1

Duarte was not sloppy, he just couldn't set his feet to throw punches.

I was going by his past highlights that I'd scouted. He didn't exactly strike me as the world's deftest sharpshooter.

Yeah, he's one dimensional. But as far as his punches, he is very compact, but he needs to set his feet otherwise he will not throw.

He took on a compact relentless pressure fighter with KO power tonight in his first fight since being stopped. He took next to no damage and won by the KO. Duarte is basically a double barrel hook monster, he took half of them to the back and the other half to his arms guarding his gut and chin. Yeah his strategy might not have looked good on camera, but it got the job done now didn't it?

Not sure about that. He's much faster and hits harder than Haney and Prograis and we all saw what Kambosos' check left hook and Sandor's check right hook did to Teofimo. I wouldn't write him off against any of those guys. Matias is probably the worst fight imaginable for him, but he even has a slight chance there. Matias has a tendency to eat a hell of a lot of leather in the first two or three rounds, flush. So it isn't far fetched Ryan Garcia becoming the kingpin at 140.

All I could focus on was the tireless phrase "Mayweather shell defense" like it was the first time they ever saw it? it goes back the 1920s, its a Philly shell. I had to put it on mute. Good on Garcia though. He needed this.

I'm convinced that Haney is a robot. Nothing he says seems natural.
