garcia hits hard and has fast hands... but he has a lot of geckos and little technique but he's a pretty tall guy for the 135... shakur so far has feather fists but he's very good technically... his quijsda was not tested but I am convinced that it is a crystal
he is far from feather fisted. most of his career has been fought from a strategically defensive stand. its only his last couple fights that hes gone from a reactive to a proactive fighter. he is now looking to impose himself more on his opponents. he is learning to use leverage better when punching. i will agree that he still doesnt punch through the target enough, which would improve his power. but punching through increases the risk of overextending yourself. it leaves a bigger window for counters to hit you. thats contrary to the style of fighter he was before. hes not going to convert overnight. he is strong. and fast. thats all i would need to teach him how to hit with power. im sure his trainer can too. i think he did hurt robson several times, but he didnt push the advantage. he is also stepping into a more natural weight now. he will be stronger here. stamina and punch resistence will be better from not drying out to make weight. he is going through a lot of transitions at the moment, but when he settles into what works best for him, and in the hands of a top team, this kid is gonna be king. right now, he dont even know what hes capable of.
