Ryan Garcia’s promoter knows he is not ready for Tank

I really don't believe Tank Davis is a man who is searching for greatness. His choices of opponents have been dissappointing, if not terrible. He is still being highly rated because WBA (the organization that I have completely lost respect with) keeps giving him ridiculous first class VVIP treatment. Letting him fight nobodies as SFW super champ, get LW regular belt for fighting someone who is not originally not in the rating, and the last one, fighting a SFW as an LW and got two belts in two divisions.

I don't believe he would fight Loma, Lopez, Garcia or Haney. I don't even believe he would fight Linares. When he was in SFW, he never tried to face Berchelt or even Farmer, all only talk talk talk.

Depends from industry. Cinema and theater does have different roles and not rare cases when successful actors had continued when they were 50+, just different roles. I had saw ppl in such age working whole year or 2 years in row but I did not had saw well paid pro boxers who did 12-24 pro fights during 1-2 years. If you are notable as actor, you might get good gigs at this age. Not youngsters roles, you maybe will play businessman, lawyer, father for family etc like roles.
Boxer : it is young racing horse. Do you know what happens with old sport racing or labor horses?
Of course boxer too might change occupation to trainer, businessman, maybe he does have some education, also sport managers etc like things.
The difference that actors aren't punched in the face and head for a living.
Success % to achieve dream to become big is almost equal, do you dream to be successful actor or highly paid pro boxer.

There is full world with decent amateurs, then also not bad pros, ofc also boxing bags.
Lesser part than few % from them makes decent living. Like actors too, not much difference.


Competitive sport is very harsh thing also in non combat sports not less.
Especially for national teams etc alike. They does have xx ppl as canididates, you are a bit slower than some guy etc alike and you are replaced with another guy without mercy. Not much difference with too old cars or horses.

A lot of prizefighters are talking about big fights since autumn and didn't had delivered these fights.
A lot of prizefighters are talking about well known names and after beat up their next opponent start to calling out shot fighters, boxing corpses and talk about fighting with old uncles.

No both were SFW title holders in 2017, both were LW title holders in 2019.

So if in the future a Garcia vs Davis fight is higher in value, would you say this is the right decision and therefore defend it?
