Honestly I'm not 100% sure Gervonta is really capable of understanding what is going on around him most of the time. Blame his management for this, no way he could come up with a scheme like that on his own.

Wtf are you talking about? Floyd started all this BS. He had plenty of catchweights, 152 against Canelo, made JMM come up 10 pounds and then Floyd didn't even make weight but paid a small fine.

Oh please the guy has fought at 130 pounds and most of his career at 135 so making the fight at 136 is not exactly difficult. Why is he, his camp and fans already making excuses before his loss tonight? I mean really! Come on man.

And if they are both equal then Davis wins.

Because they want their cake and to eat it too.. if Ryan wins he gets all the credit in the world, if he loses he has a built in excuse..

Not even close. Garcia has the looks and the personality. He is FAR more marketable than a thug who is always in trouble with the law.

Exactly. Ryan went way overboard in making this fight. Shows who is more professional.

Tank could cure cancer and they'd still hate him.

I somewhat agree with what you’re saying and in a perfect world there’d be no stipulations just a straight up weigh in and a straight up fight. But to play devils advocate, Ryan didn’t have to agree to the terms and the fact that he did says he felt confident he’d be ok with it. Also if this fight were held years ago the old fighters use to weigh in on the day of the fight , so it’s not as bad as it seems. Ryan looked fine yesterday , both he and Tank looked slightly drawn which is normal and both came in well under the agreed weight. When your the bigger name you get the luxury of making some stipulations, and at this time Tank is and did. Now if Ryan wins then the roles will be reversed and he will have way more of a voice. Sacrifices have to sometimes be made in order to achieve goals.

catchweight is fine. How many rehydration clauses did manny issue? How many did canelo issue?

Floyds demands were money and ego, only time I can remember a catch weight was Canelo who was a lot bigger.
