Goosen is a very good trainer who has had previous success with guys like Garcia before. He worked with Corrales and the Ruelas brothers. This seems to be a good fit to me.

It's also funny how Reynoso all of a sudden has a reputation for running strict, military-styled training camps and people act like he's churning out champions like Hasbro does toys. Back in the early to mid-2010s there was a sense that Alvarez pretty much ran his own camps and that was part of the reason his stamina was lackluster.

They can always blame his high oestrogen to testosterone ratio on his soy diet i suppose? Silly boys

Last video I saw of Insta Garcia training with Reynoso he looked extremely bored/uninterested...didn't want to be there.

He'd still be salty about being called out for being lazy. **** this kid. He's a boring diva. Seen it all before.

Not surprised honestly, with reynoso focusing on Canelos next move, i doubt Garcia is looked at as total loss inside the camp tbh.

I think Reynoso didn’t look at Garcia as being serious and having a long career and probably didn’t give him the attention that he wanted. I mean let’s be honest does anyone see Garcia becoming an ATG and having this brilliant career ahead of him? Or do you see him as I do as a social media hype with some pop in his punches that’s just waiting to be exposed? He will make some more money as he has already then that’ll be it. He is mentally not there for what is needed to be great in this sport.

I think Freddie Roach and Robert Garcia are both better options than Joey.

Yup. The beginning of the end has already started. This is just a huge early domino.

In my humble opinion, Robert Garcia is overrated. Who exactly did he train that became HOF-worthy? Who does he currently train that has made him this "great" coach? He might be a good trainer, but I don't believe he is a great trainer.

Goosen has been around the game along time.

Maybe he is the fatherly figure Garcia needs to get his mental game on point to complement his physical ability.

But I don't rate him particularly high as a trainer. Not so much now. Seemed he specialised in getting guys at the end of their career when they needed a change and never did that well with them. That's what I'm remembering of him but I could he mistaken.
I think he is more interested in his own media profile these days.
