Benn couldn't put away an injured, one legged, thirty-seven year old at a catchweight. Is he now going to lose even more weight to face Garcia?
Benn is about to publicly, humiliatingly, find out that he isn't world class if he takes this fight. Because Ryan brutalizes him.
Same. I'm trying to decide which I'd rather see -- Ryan brutalize him, or Shakur humiliate him. With a KO, you can always claim some BS, oh I was winning until he caught me, if he hadn't caught me like that, etc. What Shakur would do to him (win 12-0 with a historically hilarious difference in punch landed stats)? There could be zero excuses that could be made.
Funny because this would be a big fight just because of their name's and profile rather than actual ability. People normally exaggerate weight in fights and fighters etc, but I think weight will be a huge factor in this fight. I think Garcia stops Benn if this takes place at 145.
Garcia should win, but we also watched that drug cheat make Rolly look like Sugar Ray Leonard, so I think people are writing Benn off too early here. The pair of them should be nowhere near this belt, two very unlikeable drug cheats who use the sport to massage their own ego and consistently bring it into disrepute. It will be a stain if the WBC belt is on the line between these two, but you've got to think that Garcia catches Benn at some point and puts him in trouble. But if Rolly and Barrios can last the 12, Benn also might.
Yep after the Eubank fights I thought Benn might have a chance but in hindsight you can see how compromised Eubank was and also Regis. If Garcia shows up like he did against Barrios he will wreck Benn.
Big nige said that when Connor first turned pro he didn’t even think he was regional standard and he can’t believe where he’s got to, I’m paraphrasing here because a can’t be bothered to look it up but it was basically something like that and he said it post fight
