I didn't say it did. Power and speed are a very potent combination, especially when they're of the savage and blazing variety which not only makes it very potent but deadly, and Garcia possesses both and in addition to that he also possesses mongoose-like reflexes. I correctly predicted Corrie Sanders to KO Wlad because of his combination of blazing hand speed and savage power.

Campbell actually hits very hard and this is something which has been confirmed by many fighters who've shared a ring with him, including by Teofimo who he dropped in the gym and Loma, and been scientifically proven by Serge. Haney, however, can't punch holes in dog urine drenched wet cardboard.

A blind person could've seen that big shot Haney wound up coming from a mile away lol

Haney hit Grandpa Gamboa with everything bar the kitchen sink and he couldn't even wobble him

I agree with you...Garcia has power & speed but his offense is his defense and he's going to pay for that as he steps up in comp and he gets counterpunched to death.

Floyd and Ward can't punch either and yet both retired undefeated. Punching hard is not everything...what happens when you run into someone who can take your power no matter how hard you punch and can beat your speed with timing?

You're right but Haney beat up Moran and worn him down to the point where he was able to get away with throwing that type of punch.

Anyone that knows boxing knows after the 5th round, Gamboa was there to survive and see the final bell against Haney. At least with Davis, Gamboa came to win until the end (even winning the 8th round).

Bottom line, it's a toss up fight. Their records against each other speak to that. They not that far from the amateurs as they are both 22 years of age. They both have improved since then and I don't see where one has significantly outpaced the other. They could trade resumes and their records would most likely still be the same. Ryan has the better power and Haney has the better skills. It's as simple as that. If Haney can prevent Ryan from landing the critical blow he will probably win and if he can't, he will most certainly lose.

Before the Gamboa fight, I would have leaned towards Haney. He is a good fundamental fighter but I think he’s drained at 135. LW might be too light for Haney and Ryan has impressive power. A Haney win wouldn’t surprise me but I’d have to go with Garcia if they were to meet soon. I don’t think Garcia wants this fight. He’s calling out Tank. Haney Lopez would be a decent fight but it would have to happen soon, although I can easily see these guys moving to 140 soon.

    It’s a 50/50 fight.

Which explains why Ryan is pushing & pressing Tank so much for the BIGGER purse
Plus he will enjoy major height & reach advantages.

why flip a coin when you could get a Mega payday win or lose vs Tank?

You right, but I think that Oscar is truly pushing for the fight with Tank because he wants more than anything to beat Mayweather at something and he feels he has the right vehicle in Ryan. I tend to agree with that.

Won’t be surprised if Haney stops him as well because Garcia will be eating a lot of leather.

Guys, what planet are you people on??

There's not a snow balls chance in hell that Haney is walking away with a decision here.

It's gonna look exactly like Canelo v Lara, and people are gonna *****, but Garcia will certainly (imo rightfully) get the decision. Excellent fight to bet as the outcome is guaranteed.

Speed and power not just power. Big difference. And lightening speed and thunderous power is a lethal combination and that's what the boxing gods have blessed Garcia with who has the thunder in his gloves to knock out anyone at the weight. Haney might well outbox him but they're 3-3 in the amateurs and in Haney's own words all six of their meetings were competitive so I don't see why they shouldn't be in the pros too.

Personally I feel you should never get hit with a shot like that, worn down or not.

Haney hit GGG aka Gamboa's Grandpa's Ghost with everything bar the kitchen sink and he didn't come close to dropping him, let alone getting him out of there
