He won't stop Cruz. But he will win a comfortable decision, because he can slow down the pace of the fight by standing his ground and countering Cruz as he comes in. However, since he's much taller he can't go to the body as much, so Cruz will still be a live dog in the later rounds. For me, it's an easy Garcia decision provided he plays it safe and doesn't let Cruz fight rough. And then Ryan can go to Instagram and twitter so he can say he beat Cruz better than Tank did.
Cruz fighting two of the golden boys back to back. What a statement from the young fighter. For me this is a risk for Garcia, who seems supremely confident that he'll easily beat Cruz. Is Garcia wanting to measure himself against Davis via Cruz? Will he try and troll Davis into a fight if he wins comfortably?
I dont think cruz is an easy fight for noone. Were I garcía I wouldnt "pull a teófimo", he better takes this fight seriously, as the profesional he is/should be. Or he will regret.
Nah, cruz lives by his nickname, "Pitbull" because thats exactly what he is inside the ring. Garcia has been inactive for a while now and going into a fight with cruz straightaway without a proper tuneup could spell disaster. If it gets made, then props to Rye, but i just dont see how as of right now, how he could beat Cruz if they fight next. Cruz OUTWORKS KING RYE to a UD, possibly a late round stoppage.
Cruz presumably has an iron chin. If not Garcia can def. crack him. But I think Cruz is a very live dog in this one. Any fighter who can take Ryan's punch and apply pressure all night long will make it hell for ryan. I give a slight edge to Cruz.
I can see that. He is good enough to keep the top guys honest, but comes up short. The top guys need to be at their best or close to it or they will lose.
Who knows? It's hard to take him seriously right now one day he wants to fight the next he doesn't. I hope he comes back because I think he could be great for the sport.
