No way? Great fight, if Rye has any level of greatness in him, he wins this fight. However i dont think he does and jojo will expose ryans flaws and hand him the first defeat of his career!

I give JoJo a good shot at defeating Garcia, but I favor Garcia. If JoJo can keep a busy pace (Which he has shown he can, but also shown he can't depending on the opponent), and he can defend against Garcia's onslaught, I think he has a good shot at beating Garcia.

If Garcia trains for endurance, and is the busier fighter in the ring, I can see him easily beating JoJo with his speed, and with activity.

JoJo is hardly a natural lightweight but he is more skilled than Garcia. This is a tough fight to predict, I'll have to stew on it for a while.

Jojo definitely seems more skilled, but Ryan is clearly more talented.

Going to be a good fight, and I expect the hype to increase in the coming weeks.

Huh, seems like a huge misstep in matchmaking. Jojo is legit and also a southpaw, doesn't really have a name among the general public.

I thought Garcia was going to cash out against Tank or Haney. This fight is a huge risk. Good for Garcia I guess

That's Golden Boy's business model, has been since the beginning. Lara-Canelo made absolutely no sense from a risk/reward perspective, but it was made anyway.

I guess it makes sense if you're dropping the envelope with the judges. Take on the "risky" fights - secure the decision with the judges. Robberies, after a few years, turn into "coulda gone either way" to the reddit level boxing fan. Then a few years down the line you are established and people only look at the resume.

Great fight though, even the people who don't like Ryan will admit he has some potential. We just never thought he'd get tested until he was 32.

Canelo clearly beat Lara, many people including Lara's own friends thought he lost the fight.

Ryan knocks him out. Good fight to shake off the rust or whatever mental problems Garcia was dealing with. I expect him to lose a round or two before knocking out Jojo. Hope to see some of the young guns at LW fight each other sometime soon. We don’t need another Crawford Spence situation at 135. People are too obsessed with the 0 and it’s killing the sport. Too many fighters more worried about phony marketing than giving the fans good fights. Garcia already showed his courage by fighting Campbell and I expect him to fight top guys after this fight (assuming he wins).

I'm not sure Garcia can KO Diaz, but if he fights to get the KO and actually gets it I will become a big Garcia supporter as I think Jojo would be the most legit opponent of his career.

Well, Jojo has never been KOd so I understand what you mean. I just don’t think he’s a legit LW and Garcia, for all of his flaws, has legit power at the weight and a significant size advantage. Diaz is a game opponent but I think this will work against him because his opponent is larger and has KO punching power.

Good tuneup fight for Garcia but I don’t see Diaz making it to the final bell in this one. We will see, it could be a decent fight. Happy to see Garcia back in the ring again.

I like Garcia, and he does have talent but ive yet to see the dog in him. Jojo will bring it, hes very skilled and a southpaw, a style it seems Rye has a tough time adapting to, especially early on. Its a pick em fight, but i think jojo's championship experience will be the difference here.
