Fair enough I guess Ryan's ego deserves the blame as well. Haymon must pay his fighters very well to get the respect he does from them.
The best way to beat a south paw is lead right hands unfortunately for Garcia his big punch is the left hook & he didn't land one clean left hook in the fight.Davis fought a smart fight & landed a brutal left to the liver (best punch in boxing) & just like that it's over.
What you fail to realize is that some of those punches did land. Tank has a great chin and stellar punch resistance.
What the hell? You think Garcia has been brought along too quickly lmao. He's been pro for 7 years and has for the first time fought someone who's top 5 ranked. He hasn't even fought the champion yet. How slower do you want him to go?
Most of those fights were in the early half of his career and didn't prepare him well enough for his fight against Tank. Had he remained active throughout Covid he'd be in a good spot, but his relative inactivity as of late and weak matchmaking has cost him.
He knocked out Luke Campbell over 3 years ago. He's been brought along far too slowly, like every diva wannabe a side fight let these days.
if poorly managed is getting a huge fight and huge payday which will most likely set himself up for life, yeah terrible management Geronta is the best, doesn't mean Ryan is chopped liver. How many times did Novak lose to Nadal and Federer before he started to beat them regularly.
He was brought along rather slowly, which is why he was unprepared when they threw him in with Tank. Yes he fought Campbell 3 years ago but he's only had 2 fights since then and not exactly against great opposition.
Exactly my point really mate. This is what annoys me. Until now he's been the a side, headlining events consistently. More bothered about making coin then making competition. And fair play to him for doing that, but don't expect me to sympathise when a millionaire has fought a bunch of low risk fighters then got knocked out when they stepped up. Davis himself has been brought along very very slowly as well, but at least he's faced some belt holders. He's 28 now though, so his legacy fights have to come in the next 4 years.
Spot on. The Cambell that should probably have beaten Linares deals with Garcia. Campbell had also been out the ring 18 months or more which is not good at the age he was getting to. I watched that and knew Garcia was a ko waiting to happen.
