    Ryan Giggs.

He has nothing left to prove. He's got all the trophies and the longevity to match. Same cannot be said for Joe.

Ryan Giggs. Won everything you can win in domestic football and been a fantastic player for close to 15 years. To break the appearance record in this day and age is an amazing achievement.

Calzaghe to me is still an unfulfilled talent.

Joe is the best in his sport, cant be said the same for Giggs. Though it could be argued that there are many more footballers out there than boxers.

Giggs (split decision). His profile is way bigger than Joe's, so it looks like he'll be talked about for longer.

People may nitpick over Giggs's failure to ever play in a major International tournament but that's probably not much different from the constant sniping over Joe's record.

Football is a team game, and his team have dominated since he's been at the club.

Giggs by far, Premiership Soccer is the pinnacle of sporting achievement in Europe and Giggs has been one of the very best for a long long time.

Giggs always looked decent because the premiership had no decent left wingers through his prime years.

Joe always looked decent because he never fought anyone decent through his prime years.

    I have them equal.

Im a MAN U fan. Ive never questioned his team. This is not Man U vs Calzaghe. If that was the case some sub at MAn U bench would have greater claim than Calzaghe too? This is Giggs vs Calzaghe, so its a case of how good Giggs is amongst his peers Left-midfield players vs Calzaghe in the SMW division. Calzaghe sits at top, dont think Giggs does.
