Erm, I'd say Giggs would be the top left-midfield player of his generation, unless I'm overlooking somebody...?

Past his best now, but that's besides the point

Fair enough, I thought so too anyways. Just for his sheer longetivity.

Pavel Nedved probably had the edge.

Ronaldinho was better, but hasn't had the longevity of Giggs.

I wouldn't consider either of those genuine left wingers, infact it seems to be a dieing breed in the modern game :-(

Ronaldinho has gone off the boil, so there is no comparison there. He has come into prominence in the last few years, Giggs has been doing it since he had that daft curly mop as a teenager, its scary to think about

Nedved is a cracking player, but injury prone, even more so than Giggs

Id say Giggs but unfortunately he never had the opportunity to turn it on at a world level. Joe did but....

There both a credit to there sports though....

Ive changed my mind its Joe...no gigs....no...

In which case, I don't think you can answer the thread question accurately.

I would say Giggs as he has had far tougher competition in his career then mr Stay at home Calzaghe! also Joe will be exposed when he gets whopped by Roy Jones Jr and that will seal the door on this conman!
