    so who do you fancy?

i fancy matthews in there fight...think he will be hungry to get himself on the title trail and for coyle and rhodes i think rhodes.i do want coyle to win it but he has never fought over 6 rounds before (according to boxrec) and i think rhodes experince will be enuff

i'm going with rhodes in the title fight.

lindsay-derry is 50/50. first step up for lindsay but i'm hoping he pulls it off and establishes himself as a top 5 domestic featherweight

Just about to phone up to see if I can get a last minute ticket. Wish me luck, I'll be gutted if I miss out on tonights card.

I think Rhodes has picked a very useful opponent for his defence of his British belt and it should prove a good tune up for a shot at Vuma. Coyle is a very capable fighter, seen him on Sky a few times and he has always impressed but I do not think he quite has what it takes to pull off a surprise. Coyle has the height advantage but Rhodes is used to fighting guys bigger than him and his experience and power should come into affect sooner or later. I would pick Rhodes by 7th round KO but he will need to be focused on the job at hand.

Derry vs Lindsey is a great fight and a real hard one to pick but I have to choose Derry. He may get alot of hate but I still quite like the lad, decent domestic standard and a fair bit of experience on his shoulders. This should set up a fight with Appleby and Derry could surprise a few in that fight too and win. Derry by UD.

Josh Wale vs Ramagoadi is an ok undercard fight, disapointed in Marc Callaghan having to pull out but this should offer Wale a good chance to show his ability.

Michael Maguire is fighting on the undercard, got the potential to become a World champ in my eyes, got a gimee in his first fight, but at least we'll get an indication his style as a pro (his amateur style was pretty ferocious anyways!)

He could have a pretty decent domestic scrap with Josh Wale if all goes well, who's looking a decent prospect too. Looks like the next wave of Super-Bantam stars could be British!

    Come on Coyle...

I seen Jamie out running a while back and he looked as determined as I've ever seen him. He was a fantastic amateur (one of the best imo) and its a shame about the eye trouble that stopped him getting his license at first coz the domestic scene would have been totally different if he had been around sooner.

His ABA camp was second to none and has produced some good fighters (including the man in my avatar )

    You sir are a liar.

How dare you make such a preposterous statement.

They don't make such mistakes on Setanta.

Their head technician is one of the best in the business. Here's a picture of him: :nut

good 4th round from lindsay. hit matthews with some good shots, shame he doesnt seem to have much power. had choi hit derry with those shots he'd of been flat on the canvas.

ps. Why the **** are referee's still allowed to score fights in the UK.

They have a serious job as it is without being able to decide who wins a fight that they are actually employed not to look at objectively :?
