    Bump.

This is looking more likely since Cintron is coming of a loss, JCC Jr is fighting Duddy in a middleweight eliminator, with Sergio Martinez seemingly on the verge of vacating the lmw strap.

    So who takes it?

Good fight. Margarito should beat him but not sure what Margo post hands wraps has.

Would rather see Rhodes in with Spinks for the IBF.

    You'd rather see that?

I kinda like Spinks but come on. Margarito/Rhodes would match up like a dream.

I would also like Rhodes to pursue the IBF route.
Rumour has it that Spinks has been walking around in excess of 200lb.

@TFFP: Not in terms of pure excitement, but Spinks isn't exactly setting the world alight is he. I meant in terms of Rhodes earning a strap.

Would you give Rhodes a shout to ouanouver Marg? Rhodes has got a good chin and te ability to punch it out if need be, though movement and combos is obviously the way to stop Marg establishing a rhythm (plus the durability to hang in there once he gets going) but I ain't seen Antonios fight from last week: did he really look a new fighter, or did he look average like others have said? What standard was the opponnts, you're as good a poster as any to give me a breakdown :good

Why would Spinks be any easier? I don't see that at all. Spinks could likely give Margarito nightmares even at this faded stage stylistically. Spinks is a class operator.

For the record, Spinks is dull as ditchwater. But Rhodes wouldn't have to worry about anything coming back his way, and although I don't care for straps, I'd like Rhodes to grab one.

OllyC, that's bad about Spinks. If so he'll never get back down.

Yeah he can't hurt you but he's fast and good defensively, even at this stage. Even now he'd be nothing like Rhodes has ever seen. I just think Spinks' attributes negate what Rhodes is good at.

    Margarito gives you chances.

True. If Spinks really is that big, I can't see him ever getting back down.

I'd rather see Marg vs Angulo at the present time :deal Would be a brawl.

To be honest i'm hoping a combination of out of ring factors proves telling; the dissolution of his partnership with Kevin Cunningham amidst rumours that he has been walking around at around 200lbs might not prove that problematic in itself, but it suggests making weight might be quite an issue at this stage of his career.

Although a lot of the tales of discontent and lack of focus might just prove to be nothing more than hearsay.

There is something in that, Spinks definitely is past prime and hasn't been looking what he was reflex wise. Physically eroded probably.

That said I still think Margarito is going to make for a far better fight, get Rhodes far more props and respect. It would gel far better and I still don't see it as anymore unlikely than a victory over the tricky Spinks. Can you imagine how awkward Spinks and Rhodes in the same ring would be? Spinks dodging and diving and Rhodes switching. It'd be awful win or lose.

Great fight, Would expect Marg to win but saying that his style would definately suit Rhodes, Cintron would be interesting too.

I would love to see ryan beat Margarito, ryan seems like a real decant lad who has put a lot of effort to get close to the world stage and after beating messi tonight comfortably we will see what happens. Fingers crossed this fight happens
