What do people think of this fight ? I think Margarito would grind Rhodes down in the late rounds. I would love to see Ryan win a world title though as it would be a shame for him to be remembered as a nearly man.

honestly after watching Rhodes last fight and Margoritos last fight at Light middle, its a closer fight than some imagine.

without bricks in his gloves and up at the higher weight he carries no real devastating power. a slick fight like rhodes with a good defence would be a nightmare.

tbh theres no way Margorito takes the fight as there will be bigger money to be made elsewhere.

Tony would wail on him unless he can't handle 154 and all his advantages like size, strength, power etc have gone.

Margarito has been disappointing at 154.

Rhodes used to be a middle.

Fight will never happen, but I'd favour Rhodes to win on points; 115-113, 116-112, something like that. watch Margs figths against Santos; at 154, without being abnormally large, most of his advantages are gone.

I reckon Rhodes could edge it. He'll have to be at his best, but I was never impressed with Margo at 154, he was stunned by Santos and his advantages in size and strength are gone. Rhode is a far smarter fighter and should be capable of handling his pressure. If Margarito tries to box like he did against Garcia he'll get picked apart.

Think that Margarito would hit him too often and stop him mid-late rounds.

I think Rhodes would stop him. Perfect fight for Rhodes. Margarito would ship a lot of punishment on the way in. Rhodes has the size and the power to do Margarito IMHO.

Rhodes has a good engine as well. There was a time during the Moore fight when i thought he was going to get over powered but came on strong.

be a great fight for him , though only if a title was at stake, theres no definates at this level, but im sure rhodes would give a good acount of himself win or lose.

as long as ryan stays loose and handles the occasion itself he deserves the win 100% against a man who should be in jail ima! would be massive over here if it were to happen.ryan cant go on 4ever and needs the big fights now to comlete what has been one of the best ring returns ever. what a good win this could be ,hope it comes off mate. p.s frankie gavin is in for a spankin

i think its more likley we see him in with Chavez Jnr.

From Arums point of view, it makes sense for him to do Cotto vs Margorito 2 with Chavez Jnr vs Rhodes for the vacant title on the undercard. Arum will see it as a easy way to win the title for Chavez Jnr and then he can pair the winners in a unification which would be another PPV fight.

most certainly Dave Coldwell and his team would prefer Chavez, but they shouldn't fear Margocheato, I think Rhodes could take him.

    Co-Signed...:good

I think that Ryan Rhodes has the ability to soak up what Margarito has and dish enough out of his own to stop him between 7 and 10...:deal
