As Gaz says 50/50. I think we gotta remember Yuri's a good boxer but was beaten by a top class p4p level fighter who had a major point to prove. He can be a champion again although his knee problem worries me. I like Yuri and hope he can become champion again some day soon.
Cotto stops Ryan IMO. People think Miguel is a plodder and is basic. Ask any guy who been in ring with him. He's deceptive with his range finding. One of best jabs in the game. Variety of shots and now looks to have a coach who can develop and enhance his skillset. I would see Ryan being overwhelmed and stopped mid to late despite a brave showing. Fundamentals would be his Awkward style IMO. :good
Cotto is the reason i made a thread on the training forum last night.... i think. Nonchalant stalker. P4P in the fantasy cup ? Truly a 50/50 for me and Rhodes only holds his fifty .........................being the more natural at the weight. Sooooo......now we have COTTO Vs. HATTON !!!!!! :yep P4P in the fantasy cup..........i cant pick one !!!! Such a matchup would be glorious right now.
How's Cotto/Hatton 50/50? It would be a stretch to call that 50/50 prime for prime or at 140lbs but right now that wouldn't even be a contest. Cotto is likely past it but Hatton is borderline shot.
Rhodes is and has been to a point a honest trier. But it is naive to suggest he would be competitive with the Yuri Foreman's of this world. Rhodes has had a bit of an Indian summer, but he has never come close beating anyone resembling world class.
Rhodes has seen world class all day everyday in his chief partner in exellence...........Naseem.....hence why experience is pushed easily aside. Experience = The big bright lights etc I actually think at this given time ( and i had Yuri to beat Cotto ) that Rhodes would break him down quicker. Just a feeling :good
Rhodes was pushed close by Vincent Vuma and Yuri Foreman is a decent step up from the level of Vuma. Of course Rhodes did get the huge win against Jamie Moore after that but looking back on things Rhodes probably got Moore at the right time of his career and Moore was very tight at the weight aswell. That's not to say Rhodes isn't a good fighter, he is(as he showed against Messi), but I just don't think he's up to the level of Yuri Foreman. I think he'd struggle to pin down Foreman and would get outboxed and outpointed quite clearly.
