What weight I wonder? Haven't seen anything on that. And IF an exhibition... effin pointless garbage.
Exhibition is fine with me...but if it doesn't count towards their records then it should not be PPV.
They've figured out that they can make their money from exhibition fights without risking the L on a fighters record, so you can expect to see a lot more of this moving forward.
Where did the idea it was to be an exhibition come from? Haven't seen that. (Although haven't searched a ton of sites either. Not official, didn't see the point just yet)
An exhibition match for current champions is literally out of the WWF handbook. I will do what I always do. Complain about the price of the farce right up until the day before then book it because I don't want to miss it. If they're gonna do an exhibition, at least make it interesting, maybe a tag team boxing match. 4 fighters. 2 teams. Upto 6 rounds each. I mean, if its a cirus, let them juggle.
Seriously, where are people getting that this could be an exhibition fight? I've seen Tank Davis say that it's a "glorified exhibition", but who the eff is he in this anyway? Are posters taking his jab at this fight as a possible truth? BTW, saying it's a "Glorified exhibition" doesn't mean it's an actual exhibition fight, he's saying it's a pointless one sided farce.
If this is the standard going forward, we going back to newspaper decisions boys! Welcome back 1910s! Everyone fights each other and no one loses or wins! If this is the norm boxrec and ratings orgs should consider these "exhibitions" as legit contests. So if Garcia loses his record goes to 21-1 (1 Exhibition loss)
