Anyone familiar with either of these guys? Ryo has a great looking resume despite coming up in his biggest bouts, and he just made the jumped from 118 to 122.

I would like to see Akaho face Tomoki Kameda sometime in the future.

Do you think he has a realistic chance of winning that fight?

Ryo didn't so much "jump up" as overstayed his welcome at 118lbs. He lost the Japanese title before a scheduled bout in January, beginning the LONGEST EVER VACANCY for the title, when he was deemed medically unfit to make weight...he collapsed and was originally planning to retire.

Incidentally the man he was supposed to defend the belt against (Yusuke Suzuki) was injured ahead of a scheduled bout against Suguru Muranaka. Muranaka was then unable to make weight for a bout with Yuta Saito, who recently stopped Eita Kikuchi for the belt....going full circle as Saito was the last man Akaho defended the title against, 13 months prior!

At 122 in Japan I would have Akaho well down the pecking order (Kameda, Wake, Iwasa - if he doesn't retire, Otake - if he doesn't retire, Kuga, Sawada, Omori, M. Nakagawa, Takahashi, Kurihara)

Personally I doubt it. Never really rated Akaho and I think Kameda should outbox him.

Udtohan is not very good. Very padded record and has went life and death with local journeymen, being dropped, scraping draws, and losing. Not an impressive name in anyone's resume.
