Murata fighting with determination and purpose at 168lbs vs Plant. How would that fight go? Murata brings it, unlike those other bums Plant has been fighting at 168lbs outside of Canelo. I see this fight really testing Plant. When Murata is in killer mode he is a different fighter than in his controversial loss to Ndam and his loss to Brant, both of which he avenged in spectacular fashion. I think Murata learned from those losses and upped his game as seen in his rematch fight victories and his inspiring attempt at defeating GGG. Murata would be bringing it to Plant.

Murata. 168 is pretty empty, lets be honest. Plant is decent but isn't going to give anybody at the top level sleepless nights.

Murata impressed the hell out of me against GGG. I always thought of him as a one handed fighter that always relied on that excellent but against GGG that left hook to the body was extremely effective.

The real difficulty in making a pick here is the fact that Murata has never fought at the weight. I believe he is a better puncher than Plant but I do like Plant defense ability I just don't like him as a person.

Gun to my head, I'm going with Murata who I don't think Plant could hurt. I think at some point Murata connects with that right hand on the top of Plant head while Plant is trying to be Floyd with that Philly Shell ****.

Hmmm, the 36 year old inactive Murata who never fought at 168 or the light hitting green Plant who fought and gave up vs Nelo.

Probably gonna go with plant by UD.

Murata should win by KO just with the pace of his attack.

Plant easily, Uzcategui would probably beat Murata

Plant UD. He can slip most of Muratas shots and outbox him. Murats has always struggled with outboxers. He gave GGG problems because GGG isn't a mover, is old, and never liked being walked down. If Plant held his own against Canelos pressure for 9 rounds then Murata the come forward plodder has nothing for him. Murata would do better against Charlo although he'd still lose that fight

Murata isn't good. And on top of that he's what ? 36 ?

I've had a moment to think about how this fight might play out. A fight with Plant vs Murata at 168lbs would be a great fight, both fighters are very affective when fresh but both fade late. Murata would be applying intense pressure early, but Plant, who was giving Canelo a boxing lesson early would be doing the same to a rampaging Murata for the first 4 to 5 rounds. Plant doesn't hit like GGG, so as the fight progresses and Plant begins to tire, Murata will have more left in the tank than when he fought GGG and will have some success, but Plant is cagey and knows how to survive down the stretch and wins a 8-4, 7-5 type of decision. If the fight is on PBC fox or showtime then the judges will have it much wider. It would be an exciting and competitive fight.
