Sunday in Kobe the former WBO Strawweight champion Yamanaka will return from a nearly four year hiatus against the rugged journeyman Sado. Yamanaka managed to beat the likes of Sabillo, Fukuhara & Callaros until he lost his belt to Vic Saludar which resulted in Ryuya suffering a brain bleed and ultimately retiring from boxing. However due to the changes in the JBC's rules Yamanaka will be back in the ring and start his comeback. I'm not sure at what weight this fight will be contested at - whether it's at 105 or 108 pounds. A fight between Yamanaka and Katsunari Takayama would be a neat local derby since both are aiming for big fights.
I hear he went fighting in fixed fights which he refused to fake in rural Japan. He says he can't leave boxing until he is all burned up
