I can see Adamek winning this fight. Cunningham's a good fighter but he's beatable. Nice to see a fight like this pop up when you think of some of the ridiculous fights we get involving champions and challengers. Look no further than Enzo Maccarinelli and Ezra Sellers.

I'm not sure but I don't think anybody's ever won belts at both light heavyweight and cruiserweight. That would be a nice accomplishment considering the 15lb weight differential.

Didn't Michalczewski win belts at 175 and 190?

I don't think so. Only at light heavy as far as I know. As long as Adamek doesn't run into a slick boxer-type (none of the cruiserweight champions are of that mold) he's got a good chance of being a force in the division. The Cunningham fight is a pick 'em as far as I'm concerned but I'd lean toward Adamek cuz...well cuz I want him to win.

I just checked Boxrec, and he did win the WBO cruiserweight, so I guess it depends whether you count the WBO as a genuine belt, which these days, most people tend to do (at least moreso than they did in the late 90s)

We'll just sweep that under the rug and say Adamek was the first. The WBO belt in the 90's was basically a stepping stone belt. Guys would vacate it just to get shots at other belts. Akinwande comes to mind.

What a great matchup. Like most, I consider the champion Cunningham to be the favourite, but will be cheering for Adamek to pull off the upset. I think he has the tools to get it done, but he will have to fight the perfect fight.

By the way, DM, Tiozzo, and Hill have won belts at both weights, though Adamek would be the first to do this at the new limit of 200lbs (if we don't include Hill's "regular" title at 200lbs, considering Mormeck is superchamp).

This fight isn't set in stone...either King will pay Huck some decent step-aside money or it's not going to happen...

Isn't Huck due in May 2008? Why would he get any step aside money?

Cunningham has to fight him till November 30 - in about 1 1/2 weeks the mandatory informations to negotiate a fight between Huck and Cunningham will be send to either camp by the IBF. If they can't come to an agreement till the beginning of November, the IBF will go to a purse bid.

This talk about a fight between Cunningham and Adamek is all talk by Don King to squeeze more money from Sauerland Event. He's kown for doing those mind games...

Adamek might very well lose this fight. I don't understand why he gets a shot at the title when he's done absolutely jack shite at cruiser to fight for it
