If NY turns it down so will AC. That's why Texas, Colorado and Mississippi have been rumored by the SI source. Weak commissions.

 

Regarding the "5 venues" thing, I'd buy it. ONLY because basketball's been cancelled thru Dec. 15th (at least). That's a lot of empty arenas...

Which means that MSG will no doubt be getting in on the palm-greasing too. They're losing A LOT of money not having a Knicks season this year.

 

Hmmm. Ok. What about Philly? Someplace within driving distance of NYC.

WAIT, I'VE GOT THE ANSWER:

Do it out in the ocean. Set up a ring on large barge of some kind, with as many seats as possible around it. Then for the extra fans, bring out two or more extra barges (maybe garbage carriers?) with bleachers set up.

Just shuttle the fans over to the dock, & away you go.

Sail out past the US limit & you can do whatever you want. Yeah OK, it might be a little cold, but hey that's showbiz. (better than the heat in Ali-Frazier III)

 

How the hell did they let this happen? They're going to have to refund tickets and it's going to be hard to sell a ton of tickets any another region with such little(at least not without a good discount) notice.

Melvina Lathan, chairwoman of the NYSAC, said she reviewed the hearing notes from Margarito's relicensing application in California and didn't see anything there that would cause her to turn down his application in New York. She is also honoring Margarito's Texas license, which he got for his fight against Pacquiao at Cowboys Stadium last Nov. 14.

If the fight doesnt stay at least at a driveable distance from philly, I'll take a refund and quite possibly pass on the PPV aswell. This **** is unacceptable, I know damn well Im not the only one flying over from Europe to watch this.
