I don't agree that Canelo is overrated, but I do agree that a lot of people think he's overrated which, to your point, should be a big ingredient for why this should be seen as a very interesting fight that could go either way. It's actually bizarre logic for Canelo detractors to hate on this fight and think Canelo will have an easy time with Jermell while at the same time arguing he's overrated and that he isn't that good and gets gift decisions. If you don't think Canelo is that good, then surely he's gonna struggle with a proven guy like Jermell Charlo who has stylistic and physical advantages over him. (reach, height, etc)

Canelo has been to the LHW division and did well for himself up there with the big boys at 175. He didn’t get KTFO but now baby Charlo going to give him a difficult fight—-CMON MAN

 

I would remind you that everyone thought they knew that Crawford and Spence was a 50/50 fight and most expected a close fight. It turned out everyone was wrong. You'll be in for a big surprise when Canelo and Charlo fight. It could be FOTY. This fight has all the ingredients for a legendary night, the undercard is shaping up well too. To hate on this event, you really need to reevaluate your life and what makes you a boxing fan. Because these are the nights that boxing fans live for.

That's funny. So I have to make a bold prediction to point out how wrong everyone was about it being a 50/50 fight?

I'm making a bold prediction about THIS fight. That it will be very competitive. I favor Canelo to win but only very slightly. I would not be surprised if Jermell goes the distance and makes this a split decision or something. I also wouldn't be surprised if Canelo catches him and stops him late. But regardless I expect this to be a very entertaining back and forth fight and far better than Crawford Spence which everyone was hyping to the moon and claiming it was for sure a 50/50 fight. Turns out everyone was wrong about that. Lets see who's right about this one. All these people who say they don't care about this now and that it's meaningless are going to be singing a much different tune on fight night!!

Let me try to break this down for you since you seem to be having trouble with this. I did not have a strong opinion about Bud vs Spence because in my mind, Spence has been a big question mark ever since the car crash. I'm not gonna act like I had a crystal ball and knew that Bud would dominate which you seem to be implying. I'm clearly not trying to take credit for predicting that one. Some fights I'm more sure about than others. And I'm very confident that this will be competitive. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but I'm not going to make bold predictions on something if I'm not sure, that would just be stupid. I am however pointing out how wrong everyone was about Bud vs Spence, everyone expected it to be a 50/50 fight, and it clearly wasn't. I'm bringing this up to show how wrong the overwhelming majority can be when it comes to predictions. Every fight is different and needs to be evaluated as such. I happen to be very familiar with Canelo and Jermell Charlo, a lot more familiar with those two guys than I was with Inoue Fulton or Bud Spence. That's why I didn't make bold predictions about those but am about this one. Because I know how good both Canelo and Jermell are and think it has all the ingredients for a legendary matchup.

 

Lets give Lance the opportunity to respond to my latest post before I label him a TROLL. He still has a chance to redeem himself, and is actually trying to have an actual discussion, unlike some people.

 

They aren’t the same size, Charlo is bigger per what I saw, like significantly bigger.
