The guys complaining that kovalev couldn't KO hopkins are kidding themselves. If he had knocked him out, he would of been labelled just a puncher who can't box, that's how ridiculous that is. A complete shutout it was. Hopkins still had enough nouse to steal a few rounds, but he was completely dominated and scared. Pascal is not a huge puncher but can dig, kovalev swarmed him and battered him behind a good jab punishing. First to stop pascal. Cleverly is an okay fighter that kovalev dismantled in 4 rounds, every punch made nathan drunk. Cleverly first stoppage loss.
Hahaha if kovalev loses to ward, he wouldn't beat saad Muhammad? If kovalev beats ward and so he beats Muhammad? Oh are they similar fighters are they? Rofl Jesus Christ. Back to the general atleast people admit there trolls over there.
That's just pish.Unless we have to base everything around the worst dregs of the general forum as the standard. Maybe if he had starched him in the first round there would have been the "maybe he was just caught cold" type debates, but nobody that isn't just a troll or thoroughly biased would have been less impressed with a dominant stoppage win that went a few rounds. personally i don't necessarily see it as a bad thing per se that he failed to stop Hopkins it's enough that he didn't struggle....but in the context of some arguing he's an ATG offensive punching beast, that he would stop many of the really good and great prime light heavies....well it's less than ideal evidence of that and certainly open for a level of criticism in such a context.
Hopkins has an all time chin, good defense, guile, dirty tricks, and the survival skills of a ****roach. And he didn't try to fight back hard or he would have been KO'd Kovalev is a punching beast who really didn't go for the KO until round 12. Even Tyson and Foreman took some guys the distance.
