    Saad did everything right In the first three rounds against Braxton. What went wrong?

    I don't think it was so much that Saad did anything wrong but that Qawi was far superior. Qawi was truly coming into his own while Saad had a lot of wear and tear.

    I think the major difference was Dwight's hunger at that stage of his career. Matthew looked like he could have controlled the fight yet somehow ceded control.

    Hi Buddy.
    It was less to do with that night, and that fight, more to do with the previous years of hard brutal encounters with the best the division could muster, I have been watching fights since 69 and I can't remember a fighter absorbing as much punishment as Saad, he had by the time he fought Braxton acquired a near mythical ability to come back from the brink, we all thought he could do the same again, alas that was not the case, what with Lopez, Chacon, and Briscoe the years 71 onwards sure had some exciting brawlers.
