Name a time you felt sad after a boxer lost :/

When Roy got tko by Tarver, my eyes got watery and time froze:eeek: I couldn't sleep that night :( haha!!! I was a mere child but I had a similar feeling as an adult recently when he lost to Lebedev and Enzo.

Of course sometimes you're happy a fighter loses, money on the line can be a factor. This is just anytime you felt sad your fighter lost

I felt like an orphan child lost in the meadow. I specifically told my friend Martinez was going to destroy Cotto.

Jorge Sebastian Heiland idolized Maravilla and wanted to have a similar moment haha

Big Paul Williams fan that one made me feel bad too.

Hopkins smith was sad, I tried to warn, even on here.

Hey bro I haven't looked into it yet and I only saw Wlad-Brewster years ago but do you think Wlad was drugged? I think he said he was drugged?:watchout:

I didn't watch Vargas-Trinidad live or follow boxing then but after watching it that was crazy. Some say Trinidad was too experienced and could have ruined Vargas. I watched this fight a dozen times when I first got into boxing, something didn't feel right imo

Vargas was about as well rounded as you can be at that age. He was coming off Quartey and Winky but just ran into a monster.

Most guys would've been stopped in the first but Vargas' guts and the punishment he took from rounds 9-12 took years off his career. You just can't take that many clean shots from a puncher like Tito

Most recent: Wlad vs AJ, even though I am an AJ fan, I still always appreciated and respected Wlad as a great champ, was sad to know this was his last fight.

Most remembered: Hatton vs Floyd, stayed up late with friends to watch this, we really got behind Hatton during the press conferences and weigh-in, really thought he was going to rough Floyd up. Was sad to see a man who truly believed he was going to win get picked apart and stopped, was never the same after that.

I usually feel nothing when my fighter loses. Those things happen, not a big deal.

But, if I ever feel something when that happens, usually it is not sadness, but anger.

My worst reaction was in vargas vs de la hoya. I got really mad after this fight. This F vargas was supposed to win that fight, he had to win that fight ffs, and he didnt do it. :( This fight is haunting me still today.

More recently, mathysse vs postol and pascal vs gonzález drove me crazy too. But not sad. And nothing compared to varga vs de la hoya, I guess I'm getting older.

Its hard to say man. I wanna say the manner in which Wlad fell apart was bizarre.... and I remember them saying something about some test at the hospital coming back in a way that would suggest bizarre circumstances but theres not enough there for me to say I think he was drugged. He was throwing at an insanely high workrate for such a big guy, against not just a punching bag but a guy that was putting the pressure on him and making him earn every inch of the ring and who had dangerous power on the end of his punches (all that adds to fatigue). So I think its possible that Wlad just gassed.... however, I cant say the manner in which he gassed looked absolutely bizarre for a world class athlete with that level of experience and in that condition, and if its true about some sort of tests came back 'off' then that would lend a lot more to the theory.

    Hard to say.
