Here's a bit more on the origin of the nickname.. When he got up, the referee asked if he wanted to continue. He said: 'I see six heads in front of me'. That's how I got the name Six Heads. And the name stuck.''
It was because an opponent who he knocked out once said that Lewis hit him so hard that he thought he had six heads. Shame to hear about this.
This is where the name originated. HBO acknowledged it when Lewis was being considered as an opponent for Sugar Shane Mosley. Sad news about his passing. :-(
Actually it was he got hit so hard he saw six heads not felt like he had six heads. :good http://www.nytimes.com/2001/02/06/sports/boxng-from-guyana-to-brooklyn-this-fighter-aims-high.html
All time great nickname. Pretty solid welterweight who could do a bit of everything and put it all together into a terrific performance against Page, who was highly regarded at that time.
