Yea, nah.... Mayweather hasnt fought a top level fighter in their prime since 2007. His resume was filled with Gamboa type old guys. In fact that's all he fought after Hatton.
Floyd needs to ask himself how is his stable the laziest. How could he have not seen this performance, he knew what the kid was doing the past few months.
Very true, Floyd was a consummate pro in training and living a clean life, his stable is horrendous imo atm, something needs to change.
Yeah because Gamboa is currently a top 3 rated 135 Champ. Stop being a d1ck eater seriously guys like you are the problem...for example Maywesther has wins over 2 fighters in the running for foty and fotd yet even though both them guys are still #1 in they division you hard how he ain't fought nobody but bums and all this bs YOU are the problem with these new fighters and why they ain't fighting
I think the whole point of matching him soft lately was to give him the time he needed to improve his discipline and mature. Having an off night doesn't bother me-it happens to the best of them- but the red flags are there that he hasn't fixed those core issues. Dude's destined for a downfall if he doesn't get it ironed out. I hope he grows up.
What I did like was at the end of the fight he stunned Gamboa with an excellent uppercut/hook. It's much like a Razor Ruddock hybrid "smash" punch. He then followed it up with excellent left hooks and uppercuts. What I didn't like was that following that punch he persued Gamboa and began throwing punches while being squared up both feet facing forward and showing almost no technique.
Kids fine. Not the best performance, seemed a little lost when his flurries werent getting Gamboa out of there, but to be fair it's hard to ko a skilled vet in survival mode
On my rare posting occasions it's good to see some real throwback OG's still at it lol....what up Pimp
It's not hate. Look at his resume post Hatton. Marquez was elite and maybe still prime, but way too small. Mosley was elite, but past prime. Ortiz was prime, but not elite. Cotto was elite, but past his prime. Guerrero was old and never elite anyways. Maidana in his prime, but not elite. Canelo not even elite at that point and not prime. Pac was elite, but way past his prime. Berto and McCreggor what can you even say? The last legit guy in their prime that Flpyd fought was Hatton. I give him credit for the Hatton fight. He was a good opponent.
I like Davis. I've always enjoyed his style and I support him. I will be rooting for him to beat Loma. But he just has no shot outside of a hail mary bomb. The difference in ring IQ is just too much. Loma is just far too good for Tank right now. Davis has all the tools, but he needs to be more disciplined.
What you fail to mention is that pbfs last prime fight was against jmm so every fight after that he was past his prime. If you're going to say all these guys were past their primes when pbf was basically older than all of them with the exception of mosely then pbf was past his prime against them all. It works both ways. You just want to make excuses for pbfs dominance but then praise pac when he fought these same guys many after pbf beat them.
