I'm not a big tank fan and I would have preferred to see Gamboa win, however I think some are getting carried away with talk of him being a bum, finished, completely overrated etc. He just moved up a division and Gamboa although past prime is a highly skilled and experienced opponent. Davis never looked in danger of losing even when Gamboa took 3 free shots at his head. It was still a dominant win and I can't see it being much different without Gamboa's injury. On the face of this fight, it looks like Tank's one punch power won't be there at 135 but he still has decent power and needs to settle into the division. We need to remember the guy's only 25 years of age. Although I don't like it, Mayweather is doing the right thing for his career bringing him through slowly, he's got a hell of a lot of time.

Marquez at 147 ko'd Pac and arguably beat Tim Bradley as well .

Moseley was P4P and rated higher than Mayweather at WW

Ortiz was proven to be a shame but at that time who was a better welter than Ortiz besides Manny and Floyd? You hating because he did what he was supposed to do and take a fake champs title. As many overrated fake champs in boxing today why nobody fighting and taking as many titles as Mayweather?
The Cotto fight only happened because Manny ducked Floyd and ducked a Cotto rematch at 154.. Cotto was coming off 3 KO wins and was the #1 JMW went on to become the Lineal MW Champ sent sound that washed up to me?

Wasn't Guerreo like 29? Wasnt he a legit 2 weight Champ and 3 weight titlist? Didn't he moved up 2 divisions and beatdown 2 top 10 WWs something most these fighters out wouldn't attempt to do? Hell afterwards wasnt he in a 50/50 fight vs Thurman who looked worse vs an older Guerrero? Was dude unbeaten for like 8 years and 3 divisions and P4P rated?

Wasnt Maidana also a top 5 WW Champ coming off a ko of then unbeaten Broner? Up until Mayweather I the only clear loss you can say is Alexander then gave Mayweather the fight of his life?

Canelo wasn't elite even though he was unified JMW Champ and had just beat the other top rated unbeaten JMW titlist 1 fight prior?

Mayweather is older than Manny and 4 years later an even older Pacquiao is still the #1 WW and just beat Thurman who is a decade older..

Like I said sounds like hating to me, just like people hate on Canelo fighting Kivalev yet act like GGG fighting Szeremta next or a guy like Charlo facing Harrision is a better opponent..gtfoh.

You probably one of the oeile who said he was ducking Khan for Maidana even tho Maidna beat tf outta Khan who had 1 good round and won based off that and was a reigning Champ coming off a KO win while khan had looked like trash for a few fights

When he didn't make weight, I said it was lack of discipline! He may train harder for some fights than others, this may be the case for the Gamboa fight. I believe his lack of discipline is relative to his age. You know just as well as I do, that in all sports you get young men, that get millions and blow it. Their training and drive fall off. This isn't exclusive to Davis. Right now, Davis is his own worst enemy.

But people who know boxing already knew this. This isn't a revalation, still want to see the fight but loma beats him haney to and probably lopez to which would be a war because both love to slug it out.

The difference between Crawford and Davis is one guy can't get the big fights because Mayweather won't let him and the other guy can't get the big fights because he's being frozen out.

Crawford is an amazing and special fighter. He's incredible. And it's sad that he's being frozen out. Even though Josh Taylor and Prograis are decent fighters and would probably beat Davis easily they don't stand a chance against Crawford.

Crawford is right about Davis fighting Haney and Loma. They both beat him. It's likely that Loma would box circles around him.

That is unless Davis gets that parasite Floyd Mayweather out of his camp and starts training hard. He has all the tools.

Davis says he will smash Taylor and break him. Nah, Taylor would break him at this point.

Gamboa's ring walk was like going to a funeral.

Hmm. If I was Davis, I'd be feeling pretty deflated that I wasn't able to get a guy like Gamboa out of there until the twelfth round. This is a fighter who thrives on the knowledge that what he hits he destroys. Gamboa didn't test him in any way; he simply refused to get put away. Not much useful experience to be had from that.

And Castillo has 13 L's. And yes, Castillo beat Mayweather much more clearly than Salido against Lomachenko.

Tank looks so ridiculously gormless and confused in every video I see of him. Very dim bulb for sure.

According to records Floyd won both fights by UD and at the time Castillo had only 4 losses the 1st fight.
