Totally agree and the strange thing is it was televised.

The thing that always pissed me off about that fight is Lou Duva distracted Taylor during the count because Lou had to always be dramatic and attention seeking.
That is why when Lou attacked Roger Mayweather and Mayweather clocked him I found it hilarious.

Lou actually got up on the ring apron which is an automatic DQ.

Michael Katsidis vs Juan Manuel Marquez …Katsidis dedicated the fight to his recently deceased brother

I’ve been a boxing fan for 30 years…and I’ve never watched Ali vs Holmes …I don’t have the stomach for it

Pernell Whitaker losing to Carlos Bojorquez was sad to see, I know Whitaker had a shoulder injury but he was a shell of his former self going into that fight.

Boy I remember that one , had a crew over to the house to watch it and to a man, when Duran took off his robe everyone said the same thing," He didn't train for this fight at all"! It was a horrible performance.

Your OP example is one of very few in the post nineties memory that just left me feeling deflated. Like he was family. I feel that one.
