The division is so down I think that Kimbo could compete. In the first few rounds with a high work rate he could make noise. Im the guy always defending boxing with my nieve friends, but i might be going to the other side. Am I losing my mind?

If he could he would be doing it and making a hell of a lot more money then he does know. He obviously cant mix it in the ring so takes a smaller payday at MMA.

    Maybe.

The HWs have been bad for years.

Stick the lower divisions, and you'll stay sane!

Kimbo is not suited to the limits of the boxing ring.

    Simple.

But the guys just don't have the size in the smaller divisions.

If thats so, why hasnt Kimbo tried pro boxing? Cuz he knows he has better chance to beating bums in MMA.

Sure! Kimbo is so good, he could $$$ in boxing but instead he chooses to make pennies in MMA.

I constantly make the same valid points that you guys have made and always am rational about the situation. However, lets be honest none of the current heavyweights have amazing technique if the guy can go a few rounds then he might be able to compete. Lets lay it all on the table, it is now 2008 and guys like Maskaev, Golota, Holyfield, etc are still getting title fights. Anything is possible.

He could beat some top boxers like Mayweather.

The smaller guys just don't have the natural ability to keep a guy like Kimbo off - even for a round.

Guys Im not some irrational mma fan. I have followed boxing for along time and defend it to death but I'm just saying he might be able to compete. You guys act like these heavyweights are amazing craftsman. I honestly believe a guy like Cooney would destroy all the current heavyweights.

YES you're definetly losing your mind. Kimbo couldn't even beat a washed up Mike Tyson right now.

Ummm he outweighs Mayweather by more then 100lbs. But I'd still pick Mayweather to bust his ass :)
